Why
Several testers used company email aliases that were not connected to Google Workspace. The team added magic-link email login so more beta users could access the demo without asking IT.
Alternatives considered
Keep Google-only for security
Rejected because it blocked too many testers during discovery.
Add password login
Rejected initially because password reset and support flows added complexity.
