Why
The old chart looked dated and took too much vertical space. The team replaced it with a compact trend chart, then reversed the change after users said weekly comparisons became harder.
Alternatives considered
Keep the old chart and improve labels
Rejected at first because the team wanted a cleaner visual direction for the dashboard refresh.
Show both old and new charts
Rejected because it made the first screen too crowded for new users.
